HooverLaw is looking for interested students who wish to gain an individually tailored, hands-on “real-world” internship experience. We are a busy boutique firm that offers a wide range of work experiences for high school, college and legal interns—from areas as diverse as computer database management, marketing, graphic design, event planning, and business management—while providing experience in the practice of law with focus on child and youth advocacy in the court, the community and in the school.

Successful candidates have demonstrated leadership and responsibility in school and in extracurricular activities or work. In addition to learning law and business skills, our interns propose, start and complete a project during their internship, which our interns use in applying for higher education programs. To be an intern in our program, we look for students who have one or more experiences where he/she started and finished a project successfully.

The HooverLaw Internship includes, but is not limited to, the following experiences: Project-based work; legal correspondence and memoranda writing; research and analysis; document management; telephone skills and client screening and intakes; client database management; drafting, filing motions, subpoenas and administrative appeals; business development, including seminar and course planning, conference attendance, website content (articles, blogs and other internet published writing) and other marketing/advertising activities.
