Experiential Opportunites (non-salaried)

HooverLaw has amassed decades of successfully guiding and mentoring a large number of aspiring students and working professionals, all of whom came to the practice at HooverLaw with a highly developed interest in student and youth advocacy. Over the last 35 years, many of our HooverLaw “graduates” have gone on to become highly successful professional leaders in their field:  judges, prosecutors, teachers, counselors, and lawyers, having experienced first hand, the real-time events, and unique circumstances involved in providing skilled legal representation to the population we serve, the students, youth and families that make up our clientele.

We are a small, busy boutique law firm that offers a wide range of work experiences for high school, college and legal interns—from areas as diverse as computer database management, marketing, graphic design, event planning, and business management—while providing experience in the practice of law with focus on child and youth advocacy in the court, the community and in the school.

Experiential Opportunities include: Project-based work; legal correspondence and memoranda writing; research and analysis; document management; telephone skills and client screening and intakes; client database management; drafting, filing motions, subpoenas and administrative appeals; business development, including seminar and course planning, conference attendance, website content (articles, blogs, and other internet published writing) and other marketing/advertising activities.

If you are highly motivated with an outstanding academic record and eager to participate in and personally experience the work done at HooverLaw – through a mostly off-site, unsalaried-learning  presence – doing the research, writing, organization, analysis and student-youth advocacy we excel in, we welcome your interest in our practice.
