WUSA Interviews our client, Jeff, the Boy Without a School

WUSA Channel 9 News Interview of our young client, Jeff, the Boy Without a School. The coverage on this story continues to mount as various media outlets call in every day asking to record Jeff’s story. For two years and counting Jeff, who is a U.S. citizen, born and raised in California for the first nine years of his life, has so far been denied school enrollment by the Montgomery County Public School system.
Yesterday, however, Jeff accompanied by his guardian and his attorneys, again attempted to have him enrolled in his local MCPS middle school. This time, after years of effort to convince MCPS Jeff is entitled to a free public school education, just like all other children living in Montgomery County, MD, MCPS has at last agreed to at least test Jeff for possible school placement. It remains unclear if MCPS has finally decided to back off their prior stand that Jeff is an international student and will only be allowed to attend school upon payment of $13,000 in annual tuition.
