READ: 5-Day rule is here to stay

The decision is in! Anne R. Kaiser of the Maryland House of Delegates has ruled on the proposal to shorten the document review period for parents prior to IEP meetings from five business days to five calendar days.

After much debate in the community and advocacy by groups such as the Maryland Special Education Lawyers, the state has decided to keep the rule unchanged.
