Stamford's Joshua Starr named Mont. Co. superintendent
Following a unanimous decision by the Montgomery County Board, Stamford, Connecticut’s current superintendent, Joshua Starr, was chosen to take the helm of Montgomery County Public Schools, vacated by retiring Jerry Weast. Starr held his current position for six years. He is expected to leave Connecticut at the end of June and begin his tenure at MCPS on July 1.Of course the decision is not final, pending the approval by state superintendent Nancy Grasmick, but it’s more that likely that parents will be greeting Mr. Starr in public meetings this summer.
